Playing The Victim

“I’m not “playing the victim” when a teacher asks why my mother’s information isn’t filled out on the forms or when I walk into class with my Race For The Cure shirt. I am not “playing the victim” on the 15th or on Mother’s Day or when I have a simply shitty day. I’m not “playing the victim” when I see my friends with their mothers and part of me is so happy for them, part of me is devastated that I can’t have that, and the other part is so envious. I am most certainly not “playing the victim” when I write a blog about how I’ve grown from things and have impacted over 8,000 people already or when I tweet about supporting cancer foundations. I am not playing the victim. No one ever is.”
